To mark the 20th anniversary of victory in the Kargil war, the Sarasvis celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July, 2019. It is a day of pride for the nation in general. Every year this day is celebrated to respect and to show gratitude to the brave Indian soldiers of Indian Army who sacrificed their lives to keep India safe and secure. To commemorate this day students of grade VIII were trained by Commanding Officer Mr. Shirgaonkar, Senior Instructors Mr. Laxman Ballotiya and Mr. Sanjay Joshi in army etiquettes. Mr. Shirgaonkar also delivered a rousing speech in which he spoke about the purpose for this celebration. A power-point presentation was shown based on Kargil Vijay Diwas to inculcate in students a sense of respect for our forces that safe guard our country. Lastly our Principal, Mrs. Anita Pinto and Vice Principal, Mrs. Manju Mishra expressed their gratitude through a novel way of reciting a poem in English and Hindi each motivating the students to contribute in some way towards our country.
