"Rakhi is a thread that binds two souls in a bond of joy forever"
Raksha Bandhan is an auspicious festival that celebrates the beautiful bond of brothers and sisters. It is a pledge taken by the brothers to protect and safeguard their sisters in all stages of life. Their precious relationship of love, care, affection, admiration and adoration is symbolised by a decorative thread called rakhi. A rakhi is tied by the sisters on her brother's wrist to ask for his lifelong love and support which he happily accepts and showers his sister with amazing gifts.
The pre-primary section of S.V.P.T's Saraswati Vidyalaya celebrated Raksha Bandhan with abundant enthusiasm .Children came to school dressed in a traditional attire. The girls tied rakhi to the boys and in return got a sweet to relish.
The main objective behind celebrating Raksha Bandhan was making the children aware about the virtuous bond of love between a brother and sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. The tiny tots , in traditional attires also enthusiastically participated in tying rakhi on the wrist of their brothers and actively took part in thali decoration and rakhi making during the online session. Their vibrant, colourful attires and innocent smiles brightened and lifted everyone's spirits.
A big thank you to our parents for their kind support and co-operation.
