Young Storytellers shine on World English Day

On the occasion of World English Day i.e 23rd April,2026, Thursday Saraswati Vidyalaya, Rabodi, Thane, organized a vibrant storytelling competition that brought together students from the classes VI and VII to showcase their creativity, confidence, and command over the English language. The event witnessed the gracious presence of the Principal Mrs. Poonam Bhogle , Coordinator Mrs. Rakhi Khanna and the teachers.

The event aimed to enhance students’ communication skills and encourage a love for literature and storytelling. Participants presented a wide range of stories—from inspiring moral tales and folk stories to imaginative narratives—captivating the audience with their expressive voices and engaging gestures.

The competition was judged on criteria such as pronunciation, fluency, expression, and overall presentation. The young storytellers impressed everyone with their confidence and originality. The judges appreciated the efforts of all participants and encouraged them to continue honing their speaking skills.

The event concluded with the announcement of winners, who were awarded certificates and prizes. The Principal Mrs. Poonam Bhogle congratulated the participants and emphasized the importance of English as a global language, urging students to make reading and storytelling a regular habit.

The storytelling competition proved to be an enriching experience, celebrating not only World English Day but also the power of words and imagination.
