Folk Fiesta: Colours Come Alive

“Where Tradition Meets Rhythm”

Saraswati Vidyalaya, Rabodi, came alive with colours, rhythm, and energy as the Inter House Senior Group Dance Competition was held on 22nd September, 2025, amidst great enthusiasm.

The event commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, including the Principal, Mrs. Poonam Bhogle, Coordinators Mrs. Rakhi Khanna and Mr. Kapil Kulkarni, Admin Head Mr. Vinayak Shinde, Judges Mrs. Gautami Eikaldevi and Ms. Gayatri Nair, along with the teachers. This was followed by the soulful rendition of the School Song, which filled the atmosphere with pride and unity.

A brief welcome address was delivered, setting the stage for an evening of cultural splendour. The dignitaries were then felicitated with tokens of appreciation for their gracious presence.

Students set the stage ablaze with spectacular folk dances from Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Punjab. Each performance beautifully captured the spirit, rhythm, and heritage of its region, leaving the audience spellbound.

The Judges, in their remarks, lauded the students for their efforts, authenticity, and artistic expression. The Principal, in her address, appreciated the participants for their hard work and encouraged them to continue embracing India’s diverse culture through the medium of art and dance.

Cheers erupted as the winning house was announced, and the event concluded with a Vote of Thanks. Beyond a celebration of dance, the competition nurtured teamwork, discipline, and pride in tradition.
