Scripts and Crafts: A Creative Confluence

Handwriting Competition for Classes VI and VII, along with a Bookmark Making Competition for class VIII, was conducted on 24th April 2026 in Saraswati Vidyalaya, Rabodi Thane. The objective of these activities was to encourage creativity, improve writing skills, and foster aesthetic appreciation among students.

The Handwriting Competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of both classes. Participants were asked to write a given passage neatly, focusing on clarity, uniformity, and presentation. Students displayed remarkable effort in maintaining proper spacing, alignment, and legibility, reflecting their dedication to improving their writing skills.

Concurrently, the Bookmark Making Competition offered students and opportunity to explore and express their creativity. Using a variety of materials such as colours, sketches, and decorative elements, participants designed unique and visually captivating bookmarks. Many students thoughtfully incorporated inspiring quotes and meaningful messages, enhancing both the aesthetic and intellectual value of their creations.

Activities like these are initiated by our Principal Mrs Poonam Bhogle and guided by our Coordinators Mrs Rakhi Khanna and Mr Kapil Kulkarni giving students an effective platform to enhance competitive spirit The handwriting competition helped students understand the importance of neat and legible writing, which is essential for academic success. The bookmark- making activity promoted creativity, imagination, and self-expression.

Such activities contribute significantly to the holistic development of students. They help build patience, discipline, and perseverance. Students gain confidence as they showcase their talents and learn to appreciate the work of their peers. Additionally, participation in creative tasks nurtures a positive attitude, boosts self-esteem, and encourages a sense of achievement.
