Guided by Wisdom : A Guru Purnima Tribute

Saraswati Vidyalaya, Rabodi, Thane, celebrated Guru Purnima through a meaningful Grade X Assembly, paying tribute to the guiding influence of parents and teachers in every student's life. The programme was graced by CEO and Chairperson of the trust Madam Korde, Principal Mrs. Poonam Bhogle, Coordinators Mrs. Meenakshi Bangera, Mrs. Rupali Pawar, Mrs.Rakhi Khanna and Mr. Kapil Kulkarni, Admin Heads Mrs.Devyani Shukla and Mr. Vinayak Shinde.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, a warm Welcome Speech and Felicitationof Dignitaries and Teachers.,Followed by devotional Ganesh Vandana dance performance creating a serene and auspicious atmosphere. The Class Report highlighted the academic and co-curricular achievements of the Grade X students.

A major highlight of the assembly was the thought-provoking skit portraying Rajmata Jijabai as the first guru of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Through an inspiring performance, the students beautifully depicted how Jijabai's teachings, values, and unwavering guidance shaped Shivaji into a brave, just, and visionary leader. This was followed by the soulful group song expressing gratitude towards fathers for their unwavering support, sacrifices and guidance.

Further an entertaining orchestra performance, showcased the musical talents of tthe students The program concluded with a graceful group dance performance paying tribute to teachers whose dedication and selfless service illuminate the path of knowledge.

Adding a heartfelt dimension to the celebration, Grade X educator Mrs. Sonali Naphade recited a thought-provoking poem inspired by the story of Eklavya's Guru Dakshina. Through her verses, she urged students that, while they are not expected to offer their thumb as Eklavya did, they can present a meaningful Guru Dakshina by giving up excessive screen time and devoting more time to learning, reading, self-discipline, and respecting their teachers. Her powerful message resonated deeply with the audience and beautifully connected the ancient ideal of Guru Dakshina with the challenges faced by today's students.

In her inspiring address, CEO and Chairperson Madam Korde emphasized the importance of respecting and learning from parents and teachers, reminding students that their guidance forms the foundation of a successful and meaningful life.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, leaving everyone inspired by the timeless values of Matru Devo Bhava, Pitru Devo Bhava and Acharya Devo Bhava. The celebration beautifully reinforced the spirit of Guru Pournima, reminding students that the greatest tribute to their gurus lies not merely in words but in practising discipline, gratitude and lifelong learning.
