"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."
The students of Grade 3 and 4 at Saraswati Vidyalaya, Rabodi, Thane were given a wonderful opportunity to participate in group activities based on the themes of Ganesh Chaturthi and Gopal Kala. These collaborative activities aimed to foster teamwork, encourage creative thinking, and build social and emotional skills among students.
Group activities are essential in helping students learn from one another, improve communication, and develop leadership and decision-making skills. By working together, students learn how to share ideas, listen to different viewpoints, and give and receive constructive feedback — all key elements of effective collaboration.
For this event, the students were divided into five groups, each group exploring a different story or aspect related to Ganesh Chaturthi or Gopal Kala.
Grade 4 students showcased their creativity through beautifully designed charts. Their work included stories from Krishna’s life in Vrindavan, Krishna eating makhan, and the Kaliya Mardan.
Grade 3 students expressed their ideas through hands-on art and craft. They created clay idols of Lord Ganesha, made colorful paper garlands, and designed decorative wall hangings that reflected the festive spirit.
Group activities can create a sense of community and belonging, as individuals connect with others, and work towards common goals.
