Good morning everyone, Respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends,
Today I am going to speak about “A Day Without Electricity.”
Have you ever imagined a day with no lights, no fan, no TV, and no mobile phone? That’s what happens when there is no electricity!
Last week, our electricity went off for a whole day. At first, I thought, “Yay! No online homework!” But very soon, I realized how difficult it was.
In the morning, there was no hot water for my bath. My mom couldn’t use the mixer to grind chut
Without the fan, the house became very hot and sweaty. Without lights, the rooms looked dark and scary, especially at night. I tried to switch on the TV — but oh no! No electricity!
So what did I do?
I sat near the window and read a storybook using sunlight. I helped my mom in the kitchen — it was fun mixing dough with my hands! In the evening, we all went to the terrace to get some fresh air.
The best part of the day was how I spent time with my family. We all sat together in the living room and played antakshari. My grandmother told us funny and old stories. My dad acted out jokes, and we laughed a lot!
Later, we lit candles and had dinner together. It felt like a mini picnic inside our home!
That day was different. Even without electricity, I had a lot of fun because I was with my family. Sometimes, we forget how nice it is to talk and laugh without phones or TV.
That day taught me something very important: We depend on electricity for everything — lights, fans, cooking, washing, learning, and entertainment. Life without it is not easy!
We must not waste electricity. Turn off lights and fans when you leave a room. Use devices wisely. Because electricity is precious.
So friends, imagine one day without electricity — scary, right? Let’s thank our scientists Michael Faraday,Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Edison for their amazing invention, and let’s be smart and save electricity, for ourselves and for future.
Thank you and have an electrifying day!
