Art of oratory: Elocution Competition

English and Marathi Elocution Competition for std. VIII was organized on 11th September 2025 in the Saraswati Vidyalaya, Rabodi with great enthusiasm. The aim of the event was to encourage students to express their ideas confidently and develop their public speaking skills. The Competition was attended by the Principal Mrs. Poonam Bhogle, Co-ordinator Mrs Rakhi Khanna

The competition was divided into 2 parts, first with English elocution followed by Marathi elocution. English elocution was judged by Mrs. Indu Verma, Mrs. Vivina Fernandes and Marathi was judged by Mrs. Rekha Nalawade and Mrs. Saee Athavale who appreciated the efforts of the students and gave them valuable feedback.

Topics for the Elocution

1. The benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
2. The world without internet.
3. Never give up - the power of perseverance.

The winners of English competition were-

• 1st Prize- Dia Poojary
• 2nd Prize- Avni Sali
• 3rd Prize- Samruddhi Benke
• 4th Prize- Anush Muktare

And the winners of Marathi competition were-

• 1st Prize - Pari Mhatre
• 2nd Prize - Annanya Gadhari
• 3rd Prize - Adhyan Nirwani
• 4th Prize - Arya Achrekar

The program concluded with a vote of thanks.

Overall, the elocution competition was a success, showcasing the talents of the students and instilling in them the confidence to voice their opinions effectively.
