On 21st June, 2025, Saraswati Vidyalaya School celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and active participation. The event was organized to spread awareness about the benefits of yoga and to promote a healthy lifestyle among students.
The celebration began in the morning with a short introductory speech by the Physical Education teacher, guest speakers shared yoga’s origins, history, and the 2025 theme: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” highlighting the significance of yoga in daily life. This was followed by a warm-up session to prepare the students for the yoga asanas.
The students of VI actively participated in the event and performed a variety of asanas. Each asana was demonstrated with proper guidance, and its benefits were explained by the instructors. The students showed great enthusiasm and discipline throughout the session. Their performance was appreciated by the Principal, Mrs. Poonam Bhogle, the Co-ordinators, Mrs. Rakhi Khanna and Mr. Kapil Kulkarni and the teachers who also encouraged them to practice yoga regularly for physical and mental well-being..
The program concluded with a short meditation session and the chanting of ‘Om’, creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere.
The World Yoga Day celebration was a grand success and served as a reminder of the importance of incorporating yoga into our daily lives. The participation of Class 6 students made the event lively and inspiring, promoting unity, mindfulness, and good health.
